Today in class we prepared for our 75-point quiz on ancient Egypt. We started reviewing by going through the book as a class, and Mr. Schick would point out whether or not something would be a quiz question. As we did this, I wrote down what we will need to know. Some of the vocab words that I wrote down were delta, the Nile River, silt, pharos, upper Egypt, lower Egypt, and Papyrus. Some other notes I took were that desserts were natural barriers, Narmer (aka Menes) was the first king to rule a unified Egypt, the Egyptian government was run by a theocracy, Ka is their afterlife, Champollion translated the Rosetta Stone, complex hieroglyphics, simple hieroglyphics, and Greek were the languages on the Rosetta Stone, the Rosetta Stone was found in 1799, Champollion translated it in 1822, maat means harmony and balance, and isfet is the bad side.
