Excellence Power Point

Today in Human Geography class we finished reading A Message to Garcia. Before reading the rest of the story, we talked about how we should be like Rowan with our school, meaning that we will excel if we just do our assignments with no complaints or questions.We took turns going up front and reading a paragraph or two of off the board. After one of us would read a paragraph we would describe the meaning behind the paragraphs. Since nobody volunteered to read from the board, we had to choose someone ourselves. I was called on by somebody and I read a few paragraphs from the board. At the end of the story, we find out that Garcia ends up dying and the message never got to him. After reading the story, we went through a power point on excellence. It contained facts about the story and described the plot and characters. We took notes on the power point in our composition books.

Our cyber assignment for today is to write a reflection on the thoughts that Mr. Schick posted on his blog. The Coronavirus has completely changed everyone's current lifestyles and routines making it difficult for a lot of people to adjust to the change. It sucks but there isn't anything anyone can do about it because the situation is out of our control. The best thing that we can do is try to make the best out of the situation and also put effort into our school. Mr. Schick mentioned how students are tempted to look up an answer or ask a friend, which doesn't help you understand what you are learning. I can relate to this because sometimes some things are really hard or I don't feel like doing them so I want to give up, but that isn't helpful to me because I'm not learning anything and it'll just push me further behind. 10 point assignment; Demographic Transition

Mr. Schick was out today so we had a sub. He gave us the assignment to watch the three videos that he posted about demographic transition and write three facts that we learned from each video. After we finished writing our facts and watching the videos, we have to write about which video we liked the best and why.
